Lesson Learned – Never Reach Under The Stall
She emerged from the public bathroom with a red face and an oddly sheepish grin… “That was AWKWARD!”, she said as she busted out in nervous laughter.
“Dad you know how there’s that gap under the stall in the bathrooms? Well, I thought it was one of my sisters in the stall next to me because she had the exact same Keens and pants and everything. So I reached under the stall and grabbed her foot…”
By this time, the other girls and I can’t help but join in the laughter. I was trying to hold back a little, just in case this was going to turn into an emotionally scarring, embarrassing moment.
Fortunately she was fully engaged in having a healthy laugh at herself and went on, “When I grabbed her foot I realized it was bigger than any of my sisters, and when I came out of the stall and my sisters were waiting for me I knew for sure.” She continue laughing while rolling in the embarrassment, then paused to say, “Lesson learned, I guess… Never reach under the bathroom stall.”
Good life lessons started before we even made it onto the plane.
